ANDIE DUQUETTE
AUTRICE-COMPOSITRICE-INTERPRÈTE
SINGER-SONGWRITER
From a very young age, Andie Duquette shone under the spotlight on film sets and behind the microphones of recording studios. She lent her voice to several children's shows, including *Sesame Street*, *La Boîte à Lunch*, and *Caillou*. Over the years, her experience allowed her to collaborate with renowned artists such as Jim Corcoran, Robert Charlebois, and Louise Forestier. With strong training in singing and dance, she performed for several years on various stages across Quebec, the United States, Europe, Asia, Mexico, and the Caribbean. It was during a long stay in the Dominican Republic that her English-language original music group, *SnowProof*, was formed.
Andie gained widespread recognition in 2013 when she participated in the first season of *La Voix*, broadcast on TVA. She was recruited by Marc Dupré’s team, who later invited her to join two consecutive festival tours across the province.
In 2015, Andie Duquette surrounded herself with a strong team, including John Nathaniel (*Marie-Mai, Final State, Marc Dupré*) and Bryan Levesque (*PERKiNS*) as co-writers, to release two radio singles. *On n’se dit pas qu’on s’aime* was immediately recognized as a "Buzz NRJ" hit upon release and soared to #1 on the BDS Pop-Rock chart. The follow-up single, *Pourquoi c’est toi*, also found great success, playing on more than 60 stations across Quebec. These two hits set the tone for her debut album, *Ton problème*, produced by John Nathaniel and mastered by Ted Jensen (*The Police, Florence + The Machine, The Rolling Stones*). The third single, *Trop pour moi*, helped Andie make her debut on *MusiquePlus*. She then released her fourth radio single, *Contraire*, in May 2016, followed by *Pour oublier* in the fall of 2016.
During the semifinals of *La Voix* in 2013, producer Tino Izzo (*Céline Dion, Bobby Bazini*) took notice of Andie. From their very first studio sessions, the chemistry was undeniable, and together they crafted a unique New Country-Rock sound that truly represented her. The industry’s response was immediate, with her singles *Wrong Wrong Wrong* and *Nothin’ On Me* achieving tremendous success across Canada. Thanks to these tracks, her album was signed under license with Spectra Music Group in the United States in March 2018. This marked her entry into the American market, even leading Disney to invite her to represent Canada for its *Dream Big, Princess* campaign.
Andie remained active on Quebec radio with *À jamais* in 2018, the first single from her upcoming EP set for release in 2019. Having always been the producer of her own material, Andie took on the role of co-producer, as her new single *Dis-moi* was entirely produced by her and her husband, Bryan Levesque.
Finally, fans of the musical revue *Rock Story* were thrilled when Andie became the new stage partner of singer and project founder Jean Ravel in 2020.
